So you bought an osprey riflescope, binocular or laser and a big reason you bought it is due to the warranty. Maybe you met someone at a gun show that explained that its an at fault warranty. Most people never go any further with the warranty apart from knowing it is there when and if you ever need it we will be waiting. But how does it work? is it really as easy and lock tight as Osprey says? well after being in business for 25 years Osprey Global do two things. They make stuff right and they keep their promises. 

Osprey Global Warranty In Four Steps

1. Break Your Osprey Global:

This may be easier said than done. Osprey Global warranty is made to never be used. Our scopes are put together with loc-tite epoxy, most reticles are laser etched in the glass to stand up to recoil and more importantly Ospreys products stand up well to stupidity. 2. Email Osprey Global

Team Osprey will respond by email or phone and see if there is something we can do. Some people just need a little help replacing a battery, sighting in or sobering up. If it seems there is a real warranty process we will email a tracking form to you and have you send us the faulty product.

3. Send The Product to The Address Provided On The Osprey Global Warranty Form.

We ask to contact us before sending in a faulty product for 2 reasons:

1. So you have the right address. If you have an Osprey Global from 15 years ago we probably have a diffferent warranty claim address now.

2. To make sure it is defective and so we can track it and know it is coming.

4. Get Another Scope

The osprey warranty process is that simple. We aim at having a new product to you within 3 days of receiving it. If something is on back stock or discontinued we will contact you with alternative arrangements.

What Does The Osprey Scope Warranty Cover?

So you are rough on your stuff. Sure some companies have a lifetime warranty but claiming on it is like making an insurance claim. Especially when its covered in mud, got dog bites on it and smells of deer meat. Well the osprey global warranty covers just about anything. If you drop it on concrete ( happened) drive over it accidentally with your truck ( happened) or any other clumsy bad luck situation. There are only two situations where we cannot cover a defective product.

What Voids The Osprey Warranty?

1. If It Gets Stolen: 

If you lose your scope off your rifle, if it gets stolen, or if you, for any reason don't have the scope anymore. Pretty simple and obvious for most.

2. If You Paint It:

So since four out of ten of defects sent to Osprey Global Headquarters for a warranty claim have nothing wrong with them we made a decision not to service or replace any painted scopes. The reason for this is so we can claim the parts and sell them as refurbished elsewhere. Basically, please don't go Bob Ross on us and get too creative and you will always have a fully functioning Osprey Global on your rifle.

What Paperwork And Proof Of Purchase Do I Need To Make An Osprey Scope Warranty Claim?

That's all part of the beauty. We do not ask you for your receipt or any other proof of purchase. You do not need to have the original box it came in, you do not have to fill in any annoying warranty cards. The Osprey Global Warrranty clearly states that we do not care where you purchased it, who the original purchaser was or how you broke it. That sounds like an industry leading warranty to me. If you find an old beat up Osprey global in a pawn shop, on a friends gun or at a garage sale that looks almost a hundred percent that it has seen better days, Buy it! If it ain't working, it soon will be.
