The Eye Relief:

The unique thing about this scope is the fact that although it gets on target quickly, it also has a considerable magnification range. It has a variable zoom that starts at three times and can magnify all the way out to a nine power. In the field, this means you can clear rooms with it, hunt deer out to 500 yards, and everything in between.

The Reticle:

The reticle is etched onto the glass. This little optic can handle massive recoil. It has a 50 BMG parameter recoil rating. This is more than enough sturdiness even for the most rugged hunter. Even on fully automatic weapons. Many people don't realize that fully or semi-automatic weapons can be harder on optics than larger single-shot calibers. This is because it has a consistent recoil and can easily shake loose lesser optics.

The Objective:

There is no doubt that I agree with the other 5 star reviews. We purchased 2 of the IRF model versions of these in 2018 for our AR-15s. They are quick and easy to install. Adjusted the crosshairs to sight in the scope in a very short time. Impressed with the red, green, and blue illuminated reticles that have 3 levels of brightness/intensity. The scope has stayed true and I have not had to readjust it since the initial setting. We own quite a few various Osprey products and from experience, their service is exceptional. Highly recommend this product.

I saw this brand "OSPREY" scope at a gun show and the guy said all this and that about how good it was. Ok, a good sales pitch. I'll take a look. I was looking for a good laser and believe me I have looked around. I turned on the laser and could see it really easy and very bright from almost 75 yards away on the wall with the lights on. Then I looked through the glass and it was everything he said it was, crystal clear. I like sig Sauer optics, but this scope was just as good and for the price way better. Now I have 3 of them for my ARs.

Best optic I have found for AR...

I liked this scope when I first picked it up, but I liked it even more when I mounted it on my Windham Weaponry AR and put it through the paces. Relief, relief, and more relief. Never have owned a scope with this much relief, just so easy to acquire my target and make a comfortable shot. I wasn't happy with previous sights I had tried and also wanted some magnification for hog shots over 70 yards. This scope allows me to get impressive groups at 100 yards so that when I want to pop a hog behind the ear, it's a very good chance that is where my round will end up. see these guys at all the gun shows! I decided to buy from them after talking to Luke a few times prior. I am in sales and can tell when I am being sold! to Luke it was never like that he was always good for a convo even if you didn't buy. he is a stand up honest great dude. as far as this optic I used it yesterday for a pig hunt and it worked great! the lens started to fog late threw some anti-fog on it and worked great, this company is great for the AR platforms and I will not use anything else!

Decent for range work and daylight hunting ( 4 STARS )

This scope was the first I ever bought, and it has served me very well. I've even taken multiple hogs using it, and my c308 sporting rifle. Which is a g3 style rifle, and thus has a recoil impulse that can prove detrimental to more fragile scopes. Fortunately, this scope has held up to several hundred rounds, a couple of drops, and my bumbling quite well. The eye relief is also excellent. Something important with the style of rifle I employ. My one complaint, and it's a complaint I have with scopes costing several hundred more, is that in low light conditions it leaves a bit to be desired. Though this is mostly only an issue with near dusk conditions. For daytime stalking, and range use I continue to find it an outstanding value.

I bought this scope several years ago for a 300 blackout build I planned to hunt with. Sighted in at 100, and I haven’t had to adjust any over the years. Beautiful glass, very clear, and eye relief is perfect! I would highly recommend this scope and brand!

Large 56 mm Objective:

The elite series boasts a 56mm objective. They have the largest objective of all the Osprey Scopes. This translates directly into a higher percentage of light transmission. The Hoya Glass:

All elite series in the osprey scope range have multi-coated Hoya glass. All glass exposed to air has a scratch-resistant coating to keep the image pristine.

The Range:

The elite range of scopes are made to go above and beyond the 500-yard range. The magnification range, either the elite 4-16x56 or the elite 8-32x56, will reach out with accuracy and precision.

The Reticle:

As with all osprey scopes in the elite, signature, or tactical range, the elite reticles are etched into the glass. This means it will stand up to recoil no matter the rifle you mount them on.

The Turrets

The Elite 4-16x56 and Elite 8-32x56 have capped turrets that unscrew to expose pop and drop target turrets. These are the preferred turrets of many 3 gun and competition shooters. Instead of having to remove the set screws to reset your zero you simply pull the turret up and you can then set the zero mark exactly where you need to without adjusting the POI.

I was at the RK Gun Show in Great Bend, KS, and seen the Osprey Global both and I was amazed by the quality of the products they had to offer so I purchased a Tactical Light 230 and Mini Green Laser Sight Combo and I then mounted it to my Glock 17 and it performs great I give these products 10/10!!!

Excellent product ( 4.8 Stars)

We had previously purchased several of their mini green lasers during the past few years for our Glock 17s and loved them. We purchased a new Glock 17 at a recent gun show and went straight to the Osprey booth for another green laser where we were introduced to this mini light/laser combo. It was easy to install, fit perfectly, and the laser is easy to adjust to sight it into alignment with the sights. The green laser is bright during daylight and nighttime and is easy to turn on and off. The light is plenty bright for such a small size. The G17 with the combo fits into my existing holster which was sized slightly larger for the laser. Highly recommend this product.
